The British Council in Kyiv is looking for a Teacher of English (hourly paid) to deliver quality English language teaching to corporate clients as part of the British Council Ukraine teaching team. Teachers will work on a freelance basis.

Role overview
Basic Requirements
All applicants should have Cambridge CELTA or Trinity certificate TESOL (global minimum standard) or equivalent as a basic qualification and at least 2 years post-certificate experience. In addition, you should have an undergraduate degree; and be proficient in English (minimum of CPE Pass / IELTS band 8 in each of 4 sections of the academic module). Recognised diploma in EFL i.e. DELTA and/or MA in TESOL or Applied Linguistics would be an asset.
Experience in teaching relevant age groups specific to the Corporate Courses sector in at least one of the following:
- Adults General English (800-1600 hours)
- Business English (200-400 hours)
- Legal English courses (100-200 hours)
- ESP courses (200-400 hours)
- Experience in teaching one-to-ones and sponsored closed groups (100-200 hours)
What to Expect
Hourly paid Teacher of English, Corporate Courses, will focus his/her work on delivering classes to corporate customers (on-site and off-site), as well as developing and tailoring ESP courses for corporate project work. Post holder may be asked to deliver other range of classes if needed (General English, cover slots, etc.) as per agreement with Teaching Centre Management and as per Teaching Centre needs, whereas primary responsibility lies with corporate work. Classes may take place face-to-face, usually at the client’s premises or online.
