VELO Forum is an international conference on transport policy, sustainable development and civil society.
Among the speakers were experts in urban transport planning, sustainable development, leaders of public organizations and representatives of mayors from Ukraine, Germany (Berlin), Sweden (Stockholm), Belgium (Brussels), Poland (Lublin), Belarus (Minsk), Latvia (Riga) and Ireland.
The main theme of the conference this year is "Bicycle as a Catalyst for Change in Cities," so the first day of the forum was devoted to the development of national and local bicycle practices, as well as the interaction of civic activists with municipal and state bodies of self-government. Another important block of VELO Forum is presentations of advocacy campaigns of transport activists, successful stories on the implementation of bicycle initiatives in various cities of Ukraine, able to change the minds of the city's residents.
