Organised by: British Council, Goethe-Institut, Hungarian Embassy, Institut français, Instituto Italiano di cultura, Instytut Polski and České centrum.
The European Day of Languages has been celebrated every year since 2001 at the initiative of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg to promote multilingualism in Europe.
Linguistic diversity is a tool for achieving greater intercultural understanding and a key element in the rich cultural heritage of our continent. That’s why 800 million Europeans are encouraged to learn more languages at any age, in and out of school.
The European Day of Languages in Kyiv will be held on 23rd of September at the British Council/Goethe Institute. There will be a number of useful and exciting activities for children and adults to help them learn more about European languages and culture.
This year the organisers of the European Day of Languages in Kyiv are announcing a contest for the best poster representing the idea of multilingualism and showing the excitement and advantages of learning languages in a creative and imaginative way. The best work will be used as the main advertisement of the event in Kyiv.
