20 November 2014 at 19:00 - Closing of the New British Film Festival to take place. This year it celebrates the Universal Day of Children and 25-anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Second year in a row we are proud to have UNICEF on board as a social partner of the New British Film Festival. Our cooperation aims to draw public attention towards problems of children in Ukraine and recognize that the rights of children are integral part of human rights. We would like to encourage people not be just observers, but to actively help children where possible.
The festival will be closed with a documentary A Story of Children and Film by the UK director Mark Cousins. It is a touching discovery of the children’s world comprising episodes of 53 films from 25 countries. Together they formed an almanac of the most interesting and recognizable moments from the world cinematography featuring children.
Ten one-minute films One Minute Juniors, made by Ukrainian Children from Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk regions in July 2014 will appear on the big screen for the first time during the Closing of the festival. The films were made with support of the UNICEF.
