On July 12-14, 2019 a summer edition of Music Conference Ukraine will take place in Kyiv, which will be organised in partnership with the largest Eastern European festival, ATLAS WEEKEND. For the first time, dozens of foreign music industry experts will come to the conference; there will be special workshops with a chance to win a cash prize for the best presentation of a music project.

Summer’s Music Conference Ukraine will be held under the slogan of ‘Music career 360’, based on a reference to the artist’s operation scheme and the label called ‘360 degrees’.  During three days, experts will discuss different aspects of building a bright and long-lasting music career. How do musicians sell their names, control their online promotion, combine tiny income sources into one big profit stream and not go crazy because of all those things?

For the first time in Ukraine, the organisers in cooperation with the British Council will review the topic of Women in Music. This discussion will be joined by the members of the renown conference and showcase from Germany, a journalist of the British IQ Magazine Anna Grace, director of several Hungarian festivals Natália Oszkó-Jakab and Cristina Austin from the UK, a representative of the one of the World’s biggest agencies, United Talent Agency. Ukrainian female managers will be also offered an opportunity to register for unique ‘Mentorship meeting. Girlzzz Only!’ where they will be able to have a face-to-face conversation with European top female managers and to find out about all secretes of the industry at first hand.

There will be a special focus on digital tools. Thus, David Bali from Hungary and Lubov Kevhayan, a representative of the Paris Office of Believe Digital will discuss possibilities of using streaming for building an international career. Eastaste Agency will tell about music licensing and how it is used to earn millions. Attendees will be also able to take part in pitching projects that is presentation of a creative promotional campaign of their future album to an international jury and even a chance to win a cash prize for its implementation.

Representatives of German, Swiss, Canadian, Czech labels and booking agencies will tell about the difference between regional and world music tour and what is the proper way to prepare for it. What is the better place for the Ukrainian artist to perform: is it Eastern Europe or are incredibly rich Eastern markets worth trying? And the most important question: which business events should be attended in order to meet necessary contacts? Organisers of International Live Music Conference (ILMC), the Word’s biggest promotion event, will share their best practice, European guests will tell about their experience of performing at South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in US, German Reeperbahn Festival and at smaller local showcase festivals.

Organisers of Music Export Ukraine Independent Initiative said, ‘Music Conference Ukraine is the only place with the highest concentration of international exports. We do not discuss the same issues of Ukrainian music industry again and again. We are always one step ahead – studying international best practice and implementing it straight away. We invite only those guests who are interested in cooperation with Ukraine and in our talents. No idle talks, just the most recent updates regarding subjects the contemporary world of music is all about. And all that will be happening within one of the biggest music festivals in the Eastern Europe!’

In addition, the conference will have a traditional networking session, practical workshops and musical career leveling up at 360 degrees. Attendees of the ATLAS WEEKEND festival will be free to attend the conference, but to participate in closed events, they need to register on the organisers' site. Entrance to the conference is free to everyone with a festival pass.
