In 2015, British Council Ukraine will send four Ukrainian theatre activists to witness, contribute to and learn from this international community. Here they will also take their place on the jury for the prestigious Total Theatre Award. Of the many prizes awarded during the festival, it is this professional theatre prize which recognises innovation and experimentation in theatre.
In Edinburgh to do more than merely observe, the Ukrainian group will be looking to establish networks of professional relationships, sharing experiences and establishing a good footing for future work.
Following the conclusion of the festival, the Ukrainian delegation will work in a large-scale promotion and presentation of the Edinburgh Fringe before an enormous theatre-going Ukrainian audience.
Participants will be selected on a competitive basis by our panel of theatre professionals, directors, producers, and cultural activists.
