The UK/Ukraine Season of Culture is giving a voice to Ukrainian creatives and focusing on the changing needs and priorities of the Ukrainian cultural sector. We want to enhance cultural connections between both countries and provide opportunities for artists to connect and collaborate.
We keep rolling
The UK/Ukraine Season – ‘Future Reimagined’ – is on! We are launching a programme of cultural exchange – artist residencies, talks, open forums, film, music, literature, the performing and graphic arts – set to run through to March 2023.
We’ve made changes along the way
We started our work on the Season way back in 2019 but the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine has presented us with the challenge of reimagining the original Season theme ‘Future Reimagined’. We have now created an even more diverse schedule of live events in the UK and provided global online access to our full programme.
Providing a platform for Ukrainian voices
We are alive in a moment where creative solutions are called for on a daily basis. The arts and culture – their unique power to bridge gaps of ignorance and suspicion, uniting nations and people – are poised to take the lead. And in this moment, the distinctly creative voices from past and present of the Ukrainian people will be heard.
