The two day Train-the-Trainer course will be held from 31 October to 1 November 2016 in Kyiv. Deadline for applications is 10 October 2016.
What skills will the trainers acquire from this course?
- Coaching in core academic writing skills, especially in writing abstracts for different audiences and needs
- Coaching in writing successful and persuasive proposals
- Providing youngresearcherswith tools to communicate and collaborate effectively, whatever the situation or context
What are the advantages of becoming a “Researcher Connect” Trainer?
- You will receive the Researcher Connect Trainer’s Certificate from the British Council
- You will becomepartofan internationalnetworkof trainers for this programme
- You will enhanceyourownprofessionalstatus inyour University or research institution by becoming a recognised trainer
- You will have future opportunities to run training courses to support scientists at the request of the British Council or other international organisations
Selection criteria for candidates:
- Teaching/training experience. Teaching experience in English will be an advantage
- Experience in doing research and a good understanding of researchers’ needs and challenge
- Strong English language competence, speaking and writing skills at С1 level or above
- Previous successful completion of “Researcher Connect” training in Ukraine is a prerequisite * *
- If your application is successful and your attendance of the training is approved, we will ask you to submit a support letter from your institution/employer confirming that you are committed and able to attend this two day training and the three day standard “Researcher Connect“ workshop before that (if you have not attended a “Researcher Connect” course before)
* confirmedbyavalidcertificate (IELTS/Cambridge/TOEFL). If there is no certificate, British Council will offer free testing
** Strong candidates who did not have Researcher Connect training will be invited to attend a course prior to receiving separate Trainer training.
