Dan Tsu, a business tutor at BIMM, event producer and director of Lyrix Organix will present an innovative, creative and interactive workshop on organizing and hosting events covering topics on key tools, techniques and tricks of the job. Participants will learn how to develop powerful musical events from scratch including practical material on marketing, promotion, team management, concept development and planning, location, program content, health and safety issues, technical support and the role of musical events in social activism.

Dan is known for organizing innovative events involving live music, poetry and hip-hop to promote emerging performers and projects for charity.

Included in his portfolio are gigs at the Rum Shack Stage at Glastonbury, the UK Beatbox Championships, the Brighton Festival, the Woodland Trust, and collaborations with the British Council in Sudan, Ethiopia and Russia. He has also produced celebrity events and tours at London City Hall, London 2012, the Roundhouse, and Kings Place Hub. As a promoter of emerging he has worked closely with talent like Ed Sheeran, Akala and Kate Tempest.

Whether organizing youth educational programs, lecturing as head of the Event Management bachelor’s programme training module "Management of events" (Bachelor program "Music Business", BIMM, London), Dan is a committed developer of events aimed at youth for the above-named venues as well as the International Festival of Young Art and the Cardboard Citizens theatre.
