In July 2015, ESP/ EAP teachers and the heads of their departments from six Ukrainian universities took part in British Council Teacher Development Summer School. The training was organised within the framework of the British Council English for Universities project.
Three leaders in the field of ESP and EAP, Richard West, Antony Prince and Evan Frendo introduced international approaches of tertiary-level English teaching to 46 participants.
The ultimate goal is to create the platform for a transformational change in the approach of English provision in universities in order to meet international standards and enable both academic staff and students to represent Ukraine on the international stage.
