Lewis Carroll's “Alice in Wonderland” gives us a huge field for interpretations. Director Iryna Tsipina thinks that this book is about a girl's journey into the world of her own fantasies in search for herself. The absurd that Alice observes in the Wonderland is an absurd of rules imposed on us by society. How can a person find herself in the mechanized world of obstinate and outdated traditions? Alice decides to be different and goes after the White Rabbit to cry out "I am genuine!" in the end and to get the right to create her own universe, with her own rules.
