Harold Pinter's play "The lover" is a multilevel, continuous and violent game with only three characters, two of which are real. The wife, the husband, the lover of a wife, who is at the same time is her husband. The wife plays with her husband in an make-believe "ideal family," the husband plays the same way with his wife, she plays with her lover, the lover plays with her. As the characters move in continuous circles, they cannot distinguish reality from dream.
